Terms and Conditions for Fridgo

Welcome to Fridgo!

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Fridgo mobile and desktop applications ("App") and the food inventory management services provided by Fridgo ("Service"). By using our App and Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Fridgo

Fridgo is a household inventory management platform that enables users to track food items, discover recipes, plan meals, create shopping lists, and reduce food waste using AI-powered features including photo recognition and intelligent meal planning.

2. Account Registration and Security

To use our Service, you must create an account using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Family Sharing and Fridges

By creating or joining shared fridges, you grant other members permission to view, add, edit, and delete inventory items, shopping lists, and meal plans. You are responsible for users you invite to your shared fridges. Free users are limited to 1 fridge; Premium users can create unlimited fridges with up to 10 members each.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Fridgo offers a Free plan and a Premium plan ($2.99/month). Billing is processed through RevenueCat and your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Subscription fees are billed in advance, automatically renew monthly, and are non-refundable except as required by law. You may cancel anytime through your app store settings.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you create and upload to our Service, including inventory items, photos, custom recipes, and meal plans. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our Service to:

- Post illegal, harmful, or offensive content
- Share account credentials with unauthorized users
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack our Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service

7. AI-Powered Features and Service Availability

Our AI features (photo recognition via Vertex AI/TensorFlow Lite and meal planning via Google Gemini) are provided as-is and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all AI-generated content. We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Third-party API changes or outages may affect our Service.

8. Recipe Data and Third-Party Content

Recipe data is sourced from TheMealDB and other third-party providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or reliability of third-party content. The Service does not provide professional dietary, nutritional, or medical advice. Always consult qualified professionals for such advice.

9. Data Processing and Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using our Service, you consent to such collection and processing. Your data is stored using Firebase Cloud services and may be processed in multiple jurisdictions. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate your account at any time. You may delete your account through app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and we may delete your data subject to legal retention requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fridgo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including food safety issues, allergic reactions, or health problems. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) $100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fridgo from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or actions of users you invite to shared fridges.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of Poland. You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions.

14. Updates to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Platform-Specific Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, these Terms are between you and Fridgo, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support and are not responsible for the App.
